FOOT TITES – Protect the feet, allowing to create and perform movement
Foot Tites were designed by contemporary dancer and choreographer Ivonice Satie. She began her dance studies at the age of nine. Later, she became a dancer and assistant of the corps de ballet at the Municipal Theater in São Paulo, Brazil. In 1980, she joined the cast of “Chorus Line”. In the 1980s she moved to Geneva, Switzerland where she stayed for 7 years as dancer and assistant at the Grand Théâtre de Genève During her tours throughout the world she became recognized as a successful contemporary dancer and choreographer. She has received numerous awards, including the APCA Award for “Shogun”. 1st Prize at the International competitions in Nyon and Jackson, 2nd Prize at the prestigious International Competition in Varna and the Medal for Artistic Merit from the Grand Prix of Dance, Brazil Ms. Satie's personal experience and contacts with other Contemporary Dance professionals led to the realization that a product allowing protection for turning and sliding was much needed. FOOT TITES – were developed to offer dancers more comfort, security, aesthetic, technical and artistic quality. Foot Tites protect the feet, making it possible to create choreography movements and performances helping to prevent pulled ligaments or muscles.
FOOT TITES also offer precision and stability to grip or slow down using the exposed parts of the foot, such as the heel and the toes. They are easy to fit and do not interfere with the dancer’s line.
The Só Dança Contemporary Line of dancewear by Ivonice Satie also innovates in the leotards, overalls and shorts with exclusive cuts and designs. This line was specially developed for the contemporary dancer aiming not only at aesthetic line but also to offer comfort and freedom of movement. The fabric keeps pleasant temperature, making it possible to absorb sweat. It can also prevent accidents as the floor will remain dry.
