Are you with a school, company or have any exciting performances coming up?

I am a company member of CT&Co which is a dance company based in New York. This fall I’ll be joining Postmodern Jukebox live on tour in Russia and Europe!

When did you start dancing and why?

I started dancing at the age of 7. I used to drum on anything I could get my hands on around the house and I’d dance my butt off while doing it. My mom thought I’d love tap dancing because it’s rhythm and movement combined into one. I took my first class and fell in love with it!

What do you love about So Danca and why does So Danca stand out among other dance brands?

So Danca shoes are definitely the most cool shoes on the market! So Danca offers an overwhelming amount of possibilities when creating the shoes for you! The materials they use from Swede, patent and leather are very  durable. You can feel it.

If you could tell your younger self some advice what would it be?

I would tell myself: “do what you love and don’t let other people’s opinions limit your abilities and talent”

What are your favorite So Danca products?

I love the tap shoes of course, but my favorites are the new desert boots.

What is your dream role / performance / choreographer / company to work with?

I’m also an recording artist! I would love to have my own band some day and tour my music and dance!

Do you have any other hobbies outside of dance?

I love playing ultimate frisbee and any kind of running games or sports.

What is one really special moment or memory from your dance career so far?

In August - September this year I toured around middle schools and high schools all over Dayton, Ohio. I was a super amazing experience! It felt really good to be sharing my love for dance with all of the kids especially after their had been a lot of recent damage to the community with the shooting.

Have you had to endure any hardships or setbacks in your dance career?

Yes! In January of this year I had a stress fracture in my tibia on my left leg. I had to wear a boot and couldn’t dance for the first half of the year. It was really hard but I got through it. It took my about a month to get back to dancing fully, because I had to ease in to it.
