Wade - TA70 (Adult)

I have two teen dancers who just started tap after a decade of ballet and several years of modern. They're technically beginners but are taking to tap like fish to water. After trying out several pairs of shoes during class-- thank you, teacher-- they chose to order the Wade shoes. They like the weight, the sound, the style, and have had no problems with breaking in. So far, they have lived up to the other good reviews I read online.

Sizing was true to size. Sneaker sizes are 10 and 9.5 for my girls, with room to spare for healthy movement/swelling. We ordered Wade sizes 9 and 9.5 for a slightly more snug fit and they find them very comfortable.

These shoes have a nice solid sound and I was able to do a full tap class, no socks, right out of the box with no breaking in. I recommend getting your foot professionally sized if you haven’t lately, these shoes run true to size. The upper has cushion in all the right places! So Dança has amazing customer service as well-I had to exchange the size of a previous purchase and they were fast and accommodating.

I needed shoes like this for a performance and now I these are my go to tap shoe for classes too. The sound is the best sound for tap shoes

The look of these shoes is stunning and eye catching -- not your typical wingtip-and-heel pattern of black and white! But beyond that these are so supportive and comfortable. The support for staying up on the balls of your feet is great. At the same time, these aren't overly stiff or heavy. The leather is supple and beautiful. I love the full sound of the taps, too.
