Welcome to The Dance Centre CLE's Contemporary uniform selection page. Please note the color required per uniform item. The products below are suggestion, you may shop the website.

Girls:

• Black leotard (any style) or form fitting black tank top
• Black leggings or hot shorts
• Tan jazz shoes- (no ties on top of shoe)
We will be transitioning to a tan jazz shoe for all contemporary classes. If your dancer does not have tan jazz shoes yet, but they have footpaws, foot undies, or turners, they are welcome to wear these for class. 
• Hair secured in a neat bun using a hair net and bobby pins. No headbands. A low ponytail will be acceptable.

Boys:

• White fitted shirt
• Black jazz pants or joggers
• Black jazz shoes

• No headbands, watches (including Apple watches and Fitbits), or jewelry.
• Buns must be well secured with a hairnet and bobby pins so they do not fall out during class.
• Socks should not be worn with ballet slippers and jazz shoes.
• Ballet slippers for young dancers with drawstrings should be tightened/adjusted for snug fit, then knotted OR cut excess drawstring taped to the inside of the shoe for future adjustments. Very young students have sensitive feet so too much excess string that is tucked and taped inside shoes can be uncomfortable. Slip-on ballet slippers with no drawstrings are also acceptable (please no isotoner house slippers).
• Any shoes used on the dance floor, including hip hop shoes, must be clean and carried in for class. Students will not be permitted to wear outdoor shoes in the studio. • No lotions on skin - contact makes the floor slick and dangerous.
• Shoes and ballet slippers that still fit from last season, regardless of color, may be worn this season. We will do our best to adhere to shoe dress code colors for show costuming.
