Girls:
• Black one piece leotard OR black form-fitting tank top or shirt (should not flip over the dancer’s head while upside down)
• Form fitting black jazz shorts (hot shorts) or leggings permitted but not mandatory
• Bare feet
• Hair pulled back in a very low bun. If bun placement is too high, it will hurt the back of the student’s head during any rolling position, and loose hair that is not tied back will get caught under the dancer's hands when performing many skills, causing safety and injury hazards.

Boys:
• Fitted black shirt
• Black shorts or leggings
• Bare feet

• No headbands, watches (including Apple watches and Fitbits), or jewelry.
• Buns must be well secured with a hairnet and bobby pins so they do not fall out during class.
• Socks should not be worn with ballet slippers and jazz shoes.
• Any shoes used on the dance floor, including hip hop shoes, must be clean and carried in for class. Students will not be permitted to wear outdoor shoes in the studio. • No lotions on skin - contact makes the floor slick and dangerous.
• Shoes and ballet slippers that still fit from last season, regardless of color, may be worn this season. We will do our best to adhere to shoe dress code colors for show costuming.
