With Every Step

Every dancer knows the feeling. You’ve been rehearsing for weeks (maybe months). You’ve stumbled through steps, fixed the tricky parts, and put in the hours no one sees. And then comes that moment — the curtain rises, the music starts, and suddenly all the work comes together.

That’s exactly how this moment felt for us at So Danca.

We’ve been working behind the scenes for a long time to prepare for our move to Moultrie, Georgia — making plans, making changes, making sure every detail was right. And now… it’s showtime.

The ribbon cutting felt like opening night. We welcomed friends, dancers, retailers and community members into our brand-new space for the very first time. We gave tours through the warehouse, showing off the “stage” we’ve been building for months. We shared treats, stories, and a lot of laughs — the kind you have with people you know will be part of your journey from here on out.

The mayor and other community leaders spoke first, their words full of excitement,  encouragement and appreciation. Then Lisias Ransan, our fearless leader, stepped up to speak.  If you’ve ever had a teacher or choreographer give that one pep talk that makes you believe in yourself even more — that’s what it felt like. Lisias spoke from the heart about the challenges, the dedication, and the belief that something truly special was possible here. His courage and vision are the reason this “performance” even made it to the stage.

We can’t thank everyone enough — our incredible team, our community, our partners — and especially YOU, whose support brought us all here.

The lights are up. The curtain’s open and we’re ready to dance our hearts out.
