They are good until they aren't

Don't get me wrong, they are comfortable and easy to dance in, but I have had to replace mine twice in the last six months. I put them on like a regular human, strap them, and I dance but the strap keeps breaking off of my shoe.

better if you aren't doing a lot of dance

these are solid character shoes if you aren't going to be doing too much dancing. the cushioning in the sole is DIVINE, so standing around in these is no problem at all. the cross and t strap sit a little farther down the foot (right over my intermediate cuneiform, for all you nerds), so pointing your feet can be painful while you break them in. here's hoping they stretch out nicely!
